The center matches on the front panel create a herringbone effect, adding to the box's period feel, which perfectly complements the inlay motif. The motif features strong suggestions of the Art Deco period, with all the dark lines, including the curved ones, being inlaid with Ebony. The 'button' details are Abalone with a delicate Sterling Silver ring surround, while the square shapes are also Abalone but trimmed in Ebony. Skilled artisans have laboriously and artfully crafted this beautiful inlay to achieve its intricate design.
 
The inner lid is mottled Makore, and the separation edges are Sapele, complementing the beautiful Satinwood. The tray features matching figured Satinwood and has a red velvet lining. With its single-tray design, there is ample storage space under the tray.
